RIDER: Lisa Gallatin’s 1993 FXLR

IN 1994 my mom was dead set on buying a sportster. So she went into the HD dealership in Grand Junction, Colorado where we are from. She then saw what would become her beloved 1993 FXR in the showroom and fell in love, but thought it would be too much bike for her. She is about 5’4” on a good day. After some very supporting and trusting sales people convinced her to try it, she was indeed smitten with it. Shortly after the test ride the bike soon became hers and has been in the family ever since. Its a very beautiful and believe it or not the paint on the tank has been the same since mom bought it. The bike has been ridden thousands of miles through the mountains of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, South Dakota, etc.  The artist who painted the tank was a young woman named Dawne Holmes.  About four years ago my mom had the bike shipped to me from Colorado to So Cal where I currently reside. It was then given an extreme makeover into the bike you see today. Yes, the bike has seen many upgrades and changes over the years, but the tank will never change. It truly is the highlight of the bike and the one thing people comment about first when they see this FXR.
