When to use solid riser bushings and why?

We at V-Twin Visionary drop some knowledge on you about when to use solid riser bushings such as these from The Speed Merchant and why.

Basically when taller or larger diameter aftermarket handlebars are installed on a stock motorcycle’s fork triple clamp the OEM rubber riser bushings are too flexible and can cause handlebars to move laterally lessoning a rider’s control over the bike. Sometimes the movement can be catastrophic, so that is way we highly suggest switching to a solid aluminum type rider bushing.
