THE SNOW CAMO CARBON BAGGER

THE SNOW CAMO CARBON BAGGER

When we decided to build a performance Road Glide ST motorcycle we wanted it to be different. Not only did we want to build it lighter and faster than it came from the factory, we wanted to build it to look like no other Road Glide on the streets. And as we all know this is a very hard thing to do these days.

We started with upgrading the ergonomics of the bike. Up front a pair of 3-inch rise ODI handlebars were mated to a set of Original Garage Moto 8.5 inch risers. We then added a a custom V-Twin Visionary edition Saddlemen step-up seat. This combination puts the rider in a much better riding position over the stock set up. We also added a Memphis shades windshield to get the airflow moving smoothly over our helmets at higher speeds. We also added SBC Performance x V-Twin Visionary Pro Series floorboards along with an OG moto adjustable brake arm to gain a much more performance foot position over the factory stuff. All of these things added up to a true performance cockpit, which greatly upgraded the riding position of the bike.

Furthering the performance of the bike an S&S 475 cam, cam plate, and oil pump were installed. We then added a Vance and Hines intake and exhaust, which added some much needed horsepower, torque, and sound to the 117ci engine.

Since we made the bike faster, we had to upgrade the handing of the Road Glide, so up front we went with a set of triple trees with corrected geometry from A1 Cycles, coupled with Legend suspension front and rear. To make the rear of the bike both stiffer and lighter we outfitted the bagger with a Speed Dealer swing arm out back. A set of big and bad Beringer brakes were installed up front and we also opted for rear radial braking set up from them as well.

To lighten the bike up we wanted to go with a set of race-weight carbon fiber. But we wanted the bike to stand out, so we hit up Ghost Composites and had the crew painstaking make us up a matching set of never done before snow camouflage carbon fiber. The job was such a pain in the ass that Rick at Ghost has told his customers that he will not recreate this carbon bodywork ever again.

The bike was finished off with Rockford Fosgate audio, a set of ODI x Vans grips, GBD carbon fiber shift shaft, Danger Boy brake levers, OG moto Engine Covers, and some big, bad, and bright lighting Baja Designs LED lighting from DLX MFG.

As you can see we build yet again another one-of-a-kind fast and lightweight street-ripping Harley-Davidson performance bagger that rides every bit as good as it looks.
