Kodlin USA’s Killer Road Glide

The 2026 Drag Specialties FatBook cover bike, built at Kodlin U.S.A., is a bold example of the popular Road Glide. It showcases the expertise of the team and the carefully selected parts from the FatBook.

Holger Mohr, a co-founder of Kodlin U.S.A., emphasized that it was a team effort. He managed the project but credited Len, the other co-founder, with designing the bike. This bike build is the culmination of Len’s ideas and vision. The final design and execution were entirely his. Mohr expressed excitement about the team’s selection for a cover bike build, especially given their early relationship with Drag Specialties. The team reviewed past FatBook cover bikes to understand the market and showcase their own products. Len’s approach was to create something new and exciting that would stand the test of time. Chrome’s resurgence and the growing popularity of the Bagger racing series influenced the team’s decision to blend classic chrome aesthetics with custom work and the performance aspects of Bagger racing bikes. The Kodlin U.S.A. team plans to use the build to highlight their current products in the FatBook and new parts that will be available when the FatBook arrives at dealers.

The team reviewed the FatBook, selecting parts from other suppliers that complemented the bike’s planned style. Len Kodlin said, “It was exciting to browse the FatBook. It lists top suppliers and products. It was fun to request parts from Drag Specialties.”

The bike includes Thrashin’ Supply triple trees and billet shift levers, Arlen Ness wheels and Slyfox carbon fiber saddlebags and rear fender, and Legend Suspension AXEO Performance front kit with Arlen Ness chrome Method No-Flex lower fork legs. The rear suspension features REVO-ARC Remote Reservoir shocks. Mohr said, “Legends exceeded our expectations with their service and support.” Mohr also included some of their own products, such as Kodlin U.S.A. Signature Series Squareback seat, Ascent Pro risers and mirrors, saddlebag latch covers, water reservoir covers, horn relocation kit, air cleaner, and gas cap. A new line of Kodlin U.S.A. and SBS designed 10-spoke brake rotors is featured, matched with Arlen Ness 6-piston brake calipers using titanium brake mouthing hardware.

The bike isn’t just catalog parts. Len Kodlin powdercoated the frame, and there were some fabrication and custom work. Mohr said, “One example is the Kodlin NXL Redline floorboards. They come with a red accent, but local custom powdercoating services can match the color to the bike’s paint.” This was done for the cover bike build to make it stand out.

Getting the bike painted was more complex than a typical custom bike build. The gas tank, body panels, saddlebags, fenders, and side covers were shipped to Ried, Austria, for prep and paint. This made the bike a “It is true,” Mohr laughed. “We sent everything to Austria for the paint. Len has worked with Marcus (Pfeil) on past projects. They know each other well, and Marcus knows how to bring Len’s design ideas to life.”

“I’m excited and proud of the result,” Len Kodlin said of the entire experience.
