Yes, this is made from 100% carbon fiber. It is not a wrap of a stock or steel tank. The ever forward-thinking folks at BlackStone Tek in South Africa have media the Holy Grail of carbon fiber parts. Known for their line of amazing carbon fiber wheels, BST has now introduced a carbon fiber gas tank for Harley-Davidson “Touring” Bagger Motorcycles. We were fortunate to get one of the fist in the county with serial number 007. And this for sure is some James Bond type shit. Heres’s some info on it; Its at Ultra-Lightweight: 8.80 lb. (3.99 kg) and its 54% weight savings vs. an OEM Road Glide fuel tank. and it will lighten your wallet too at $2700. Like BST’s wheels the tank has exceptional durability and is 100% built to withstand extreme conditions on the road or track. it asl can carry more fuel at 6.34 gallons over the H-D tanks 5.89 gallons. And no this is not BST’s first foray into carbon gas tanks. They have been making them since 2009 for Arch Motorcycle, Norton, and others, so don’t go thinking they haven’t done their homework. and their is nothing more to purchase with this take since it uses the OEM fuel pump and float assemblies and comes with both a lightweight carbon dash and aluminum gas cap. This race ready item goes for $599 and is available for 2024-up Road Glide & Street Glide Models as well as 2023.5 CVO Road Glide & CVO Street Glide motorcycles. Carbon Fiber and Crushed Carbon Fiber options are available in Gloss or Satin finishes with the belly being compatible with Standard OEM Exhausts and most after market options. Some aftermarket exhausts may require you trim the Belly Pan when fitting. The pan also uses the stock or any aftermarket radiator screen cover and it adds a whole new level of customization to your performance bagger.
