RWD V-Twin Releases New Polished Aluminum and Chrome RS-2 Reservoir Shock Absorbers

The only factory-produced reservoir shock absorber available in Polished Aluminum with Chrome Springs is now available for Dyna, FXR, Sportster, and Touring models.

YORBA LINDA, CA — RWD V-Twin is proud to announce the release of its newest RS-2 rear shock finish: Polished Aluminum with Chrome Springs. Built for riders who demand premium performance without sacrificing classic custom styling, this new finish brings a high-end show-quality look to RWD’s proven reservoir shock platform.

The new Polished Aluminum and Chrome RS-2 shocks are the only factory-produced reservoir shock absorbers available in a Polished Aluminum body with Chrome Springs, giving Harley-Davidson riders a clean, timeless finish backed by serious suspension performance.

Available for Dyna, FXR, Sportster, and Touring models, the new finish is offered in 13-inch and 14-inch heights, with standard and heavy-duty spring rate options available for different rider setups.

“The Polished Aluminum and Chrome finish was built for riders who want performance suspension that looks as good as it works,” said Dustin Boyko of RWD V-Twin. “A lot of bikes are built around chrome, polished aluminum, stainless, and raw metal finishes, but until now riders had very limited options when it came to a true performance reservoir shock that matched that style. This release gives them the look they want with the RS-2 performance they expect from RWD.”

The RS-2 shock platform features a sleek one-piece body with a drop-down reservoir design, engineered to create a stronger bump zone for improved bottom-out protection while maintaining ride quality. The shocks include 12 clicks of compression adjustment, allowing riders to fine-tune the ride for comfort, aggressive riding, or anything in between.

Inside, the RS-2 uses high-flow pistons and RWD’s AVT — Active Valve Technology — to improve ride compliance, reduce harsh feedback over small road imperfections, and maintain traction and control through corners. The shocks also feature position-sensitive technology, an industry-leading 4 inches of shock travel, a 5/8-inch Black Nitride coated low-friction shaft, billet piggyback reservoirs, high-quality spherical bearings, all-billet construction with no castings, nitrogen-charged IFP reservoirs, and Maxima Racing Oils shock fluid.

Like all RS-2 shocks, the Polished Aluminum and Chrome version is designed, manufactured, and assembled in Southern California and backed by RWD V-Twin’s lifetime warranty.
