Shop Stop: Trask Performance

Shop Stop: Trask Performance

When it comes to the custom and performance motorcycle game, there are a lot of badass businesses in Phoenix, Arizona who are grinding, welding, machining, and pumping out parts.

We know that it's a magic mix of the climate, the fact that the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute is located there and that in the 90’s and early 200’s people flocked there to claim their stake in the v-twin motorcycle industry. One of them being Nick Trask.

Nick showed up to the USA by way of New Zealand with nothing more than a toolbox and some pocket change. And now he is at the pinnacle of the performance realm. And this ain’t some overnight success. Nick and his crew have built this badass business brick by brick on finding and making more horsepower and performance than the competition.

We have watched for decades as this company keeps besting themselves and other companies in the engine power and performance principality. Then there was the fire. One that almost completely ruined the company. But they were just down and far from being out. We love and respect the fact that just when you think Trask and company are just settling in, they grab another gear and launch their business into overdrive. And with that said, we were invited to check out Trask’s all-new headquarters that houses Trask’s race team, speed shop, machining, welding and coating, product design and development, as well as shipping and receiving. We were fooled at the amount of work that happens in-house. Pretty much raw materials come in one door and they are all built, manufactured, coated and shipped out another.

We loved visiting Trask Performance, meeting the staff, learning about the complete product line, and most of all seeing with our own eyes thanks to Nick Trask that real-deal USA manufacturing is alive and well.
